Trivia

  • This episode is the first to use the word "fuck" uncensored. Previous episodes have beeped the world. The DVD release of "A Very Sunny Christmas" used it, but it was censored in the TV airing.
  • The episode itself is a parody of the Netflix series "Making a Murderer." The scene in which Frank leaves his mic on as he goes to the bathroom and is overhead saying "They caught me" is a reference to a similar scene in the HBO series "The Jinx."
  • Maureen Ponderosa is the first reoccuring character confirmed to be dead. There are other characters who may be dead: at the end of the episode "Mac Kills His Dad", Luther McDonald says that he will be killed by the members of a gang he is perceived as having snitched on, and in the episode "Being Frank", we see Frank and Charlie's landlord Hwang possibly choking to death on a snake sandwich. But to this point, neither is confirmed to be dead.
