Bio[]
Scott "Gumbi" Marder was born on September 17, 1979 in Brooklyn, New York, USA as Scott Bradley Marder. He is a producer and writer, known for It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Mick (2017) and Unsupervised (2012). [1] He and Rob Rosell were brought on together for the third season of Always Sunny, having already worked as a writing duo on previous projects. Both he and Rosell watched "Mac Bangs Dennis' Mom" on repeat, citing it as the episode that got them hooked on the show. Their original pitch included Peter Nincompoop (later incorporated into "The Gang Gets Whacked") and The Yellowjackets gang (later incorporated into "The Gang Sells Out"), which was based on Marder's father being in a similar real-life gang, Vito and the Salutations.[2]
