Z is Duncan's friend who hangs out with him, Frank, and Charlie under the bridge.
Appearances[]
- Season Six:
- "Charlie Kelly: King of the Rats": Z allows Dennis, Mac, and Dee into Duncan's apartment; he is able to sense Dee's not yet visible pregnancy. He joins in on beating the couple that crashes through Duncan's plastic wall.
- "Dee Gives Birth": He and Duncan are brought in by Frank to create a party atmosphere. He has a heart to heart with Ben the Soldier about jean shorts.
- Season Nine:
- "The Gang Tries Desperately to Win an Award": Z is brought in by Mac and Dennis to round out the appearance of their bar with the inclusion of a black friend. Z's intensity leads them to worry, however, and when his other black friends show up they fear the ratio is off. Z greatly enjoys Charlie's song before joining the gang in spitting at the other bar patrons. He's last seen briefly flirting with Artemis.
- Season Twelve:
- "The Gang Turns Black": Frank and Dee approach Z to find Old Black Man, who is napping on a mattress nearby.
- Season Fourteen:
- "A Woman's Right to Chop": Mac and Charlie bring Poppins to Z, who is Frank's "dog abortion guy". He jokes that he was a field medic in the army to mess with the guys, before searching the trash for an Allen wrench to abort Poppins' puppies. Later, Frank has Z give Dee hair extensions from an unseen dog to fix her terrible haircut.
- "The Janitor Always Mops Twice": Unseen, but he is included on a list of potential leads for someone who may have poisoned Frank.
- It’s Always Sunny: Gang Goes Mobile
Trivia[]
- Z used to own a pair of jean shorts which he never took off until he "blew the crotch outta them things."
- He breeds, grooms and fights dogs.
- After A Woman's Right to Chop, Dennis is the only member of the Gang not to share a bridge scene with Z.
- Like Artemis, he seems to be amongst the very few who are not worse off from knowing the Gang. He in fact shows his loyalty to them in "The Gang Tries Desperately to Win an Award", spitting alongside them.
Quotes[]
Z | — | “(to Ben) Man... I used to have some jean shorts like that too. I slept in them shits, man! Eventually, I blew the crotch out of them things. But you CAN'T wear 'em every day and expect for 'em to hold up! That was some nice-ass denim too. I miss them shorts.... But you... you GOTTA take 'em off every now and then. You gotta take 'em off, son!” |
